Product details

Fuel oil, also known as mazut, is a heavy residual fuel from crude oil refining. Marine fuel grades are commonly specified against ISO 8217. Grades are distinguished by sulfur content and by viscosity.

High Sulfur Fuel Oil (HSFO)

Residual fuel oil with a higher sulfur content. Used in power generation, industry and by ships fitted with exhaust gas scrubbers.

Low Sulfur Fuel Oil (LSFO)

Residual fuel oil with a reduced sulfur content, for users that must meet lower sulfur limits.

Fuel Oil 180 CST

A lighter intermediate fuel oil, named for its nominal kinematic viscosity at 50 °C.

Fuel Oil 380 CST

A heavier intermediate fuel oil, named for its nominal kinematic viscosity at 50 °C. A common marine bunker grade.

Standards named on this page are the references buyers commonly use to specify the product. They are not a statement of certification. The specification for each lot is set out in the offer and contract.
